CPS International, the Centre for Peace and Spirituality is an organization that aims to spread the word of God – Quran – worldwide using every possible peaceful means. Non-profit-making, non-governmental and non-political in nature, it draws inspiration from the Quran, the preserved word of God, and the Sunnah, the sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad, to spread the message of Islam, based as it is on peace, tolerance and co-existence. The Centre was founded in January 2001 by Maulana Wahiduddin Khan, an Islamic scholar who has adopted dawah work as the mission of his life. According to him, dawah work has been termed in the Quran ‘the call to God.’

The Call to God |
The Call to God aims at bringing people closer to their Creator and Sustainer. Calling people to God aims at directing their attention neither to politics nor to national issues. It is unequivocally the task of making people focus on God and acquainting man with the creation plan of God. He should be told what his relationship with God is, and how God is going to deal with him in future. In other words, this is like introducing man to God. Its objective is to awaken man from his slumber, cause him to realize his servitude and incline him to turn towards God.

The Callers to God |
|
The mission of calling people to God is, in essence, a divine task, which is performed by human beings. But who will perform this task?
According to Ibn Ishaq, the Prophet’s earliest biographer, the Prophet Muhammad came to the Companions and reminded them of the dawah work and said: “God has sent me to the entire world as a blessing, so you should carry out this responsibility on my behalf. God will show His mercy to you.” -- Sirat ibn Hisham
The Prophet Muhammad was undoubtedly the messenger of God to the whole of humanity. But he lived in this world for a limited period of time and now the question arises as to how, when the Prophet is no longer amongst us, the prophetic responsibility has to be discharged. In his lifetime the Prophet performed this duty directly. After he had gone, this mission has to be carried forward indirectly by his followers, the Muslim Ummah.
It is, therefore, incumbent upon the Prophet’s followers – each and every Muslim – to carry out this mission from one generation to the next and, in presenting the message of Islam to people of every age and time, bring people closer to God. This can be done by introducing man to the message of Al-Quran. |

Translations and Commentaries of the Quran |
|
The Quran is the only preserved text of the divine message for the guidance of mankind. Every book has its objective and the objective of the Quran is to make man aware of the Creation plan of God. That is, to tell man why God created this world; what the purpose is of settling man on earth; what is required from man in his pre-death life span, and what he is going to confront after death. The purpose of the Quran is to make man aware of this reality, thus serving to guide man on his entire journey through life into the after-life.
The Quran Complex, Madinah, Saudi Arabia in their research on the impact of the various translations of the Quran in English concluded, “In spite of 47 English Quran translations, none has received the acceptance of the modern world.” - Bibliography of the Translations and the Meanings of the Quran in English (1649–2002)
Maulana Wahiduddin Khan with his team has published an English translation entitled The Quran. This translation has received universal acceptance with people the world over saying that it is lucid, easy to understand and in contemporary English. He has also produced the translation and commentary of the Quran in Hindi, Pavitra Quran; in Urdu, Tazkirul Quran; and in Arabic, Al Tazkirul Qaweem fi Tafseeril Quranil Hakeem. These have also been well received worldwide.
Maulana Wahiduddin Khan through the Islamic Center and CPS International has also been training individuals to become callers to God. Through his efforts – spanning decades – the Maulana has created a team of individuals who have made it their life’s ambition to spread the Quran worldwide.

The present world scenario has made people inquisitive about the Quran. Humankind at large wants to know the message of the Quran. God wants to make all mankind aware of His creation plan so no man can stand before God on Judgment Day: ‘I was not aware of the message’. The Prophet of Islam predicted that before the coming of Doomsday: “There will be no home remaining – big or small – in which God has not entered the word of Islam.” -- Musnad Ahmad
At CPS International we feel that in the present age it has become possible for the first time that the prediction of the above Hadith of the message of God entering each and every home can finally come true. This is due to two things. One, that people have become inquisitive about the Quran; secondly, due to the progress of communication, it has become actually possible for the word of God to enter each and every home.
The Maulana institutionalized dawah by setting up Quran Foundation on April 2nd 2015. Quran Foundation aims to consolidate earlier efforts through the development of Quran Foundation Center at New Delhi. The center is being developed to act as a hub for networking for the global dissemination of the Quran and supporting material. Under the guidance of the Maulana, the Quran Foundation, New Delhi and its Quran Centers worldwide have made it their life’s mission to disseminate copies of the Quran and supporting material worldwide. The centers strive to promote religious understanding among different peoples by making copies of the Quran and supporting material available free of cost or at subsidized rates. Through interactions, addressals, online, educational and academic programs they are striving to take the message of the Quran (and Islam) into each and every home—big or small.
We invite you to join Quran Foundation or start a Quran Distribution Center in your area. For more information write to us at info@cpsglobal.org
